Socovesa
Only a decade after closing the purchase of Almagro in one of the largest ever deals in the Chilean real estate sector, Socovesa is on the brink of completing another major project to restructure its business. The real estate holding which currently operates through four subsidiaries – Socovesa Santiago, Almagro, Pilares and Socovesa Sur, plans to introduce a unified architecture department, unified construction department, unified land purchases and a common investment management. To complete such a large-scale consolidation, Socovesa will rely heavily on its legal team which is extremely familiar with the activities of each different subsidiary. Besides navigating the business through this complex process, this knowledgeable and experienced team is heavily involved in providing legal services to various state managers of Socovesa companies from Talca to Punta Arenas. Led by general counsel Mauricio Mardones Negrón, the team also supports Socovesa’s numerous real estate projects, for instance, landmark developments to be completed in Maipú and La Florida in Santiago.
