The Agricultural Bank of China is a major banking institution founded to facilitate the financing of agriculture and create banking services for farmers across rural areas of China. Since then the bank has greatly expanded and now operates as a full service wholly state-owned commercial, personal and investment bank listed on the Shanghai and Hong Kong Stock Exchanges in 2010. The bank has focused on modernisation and has become a leader in internet banking across the Chinese banking industry. It has a number of internet banking products, such as “ABC Quick e-Wealth Management”, “ABC Quick e-Loan” and “ABC Quick e-Pay.” Among advances in technology, the bank’s legal department has modernised and now provides industry leading service to the bank particularly in terms of the banks digital spaces. Additionally, the legal department has contributed to the bank’s opening of a branch in Hanoi, Vietnam with governmental approval of both governments, establishing the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) Hanoi Branch.
