Air China
An exciting 2018 has seen Air China announce a number of deals which again prove China’s flag carrier is among the world’s leading airlines. New aircraft have joined its fleet, including its first cutting-edge Airbus A350-900, and new partnerships have been struck aimed at improving the company’s worldwide service. In this vein, in June 2018 an agreement with Air Canada was reached that will see both of the airlines coordinate both domestic and international flights and market as one airline – combining frequent flyer programmes also. The legal team, which has supported these and more projects, is led by extremely experienced general counsel Zhang Hua, who has held a number of notable positions throughout his career including deputy director of the division of economic law and regulations of the State Economic and Trade Commission. The legal team as a whole has also received plaudits from industry press sources for its work on the company’s non-public issuance of a shares project.
