Archer Daniels Midland Company is a US-based global food processing and commodities trading corporation, and today is one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers, with more than 31,000 employees serving customers in more than 170 countries. The legal department is managed by Peggy Quan, who serves as the legal director and compliance manager for Asia Pacific. Archer Daniels Midland Asia-Pacific operates as a holding company and was incorporated in 1993 in Hong Kong. The legal team has proved fundamental in growing its presence in the region, guiding acquisitions and deals that substantially contribute to the growth of the company. The group has grown to have a value chain that includes approximately 500 crop procurement locations, 270 food and feed ingredient manufacturing facilities, 44 innovation centres, and a premier crop transportation network.
