What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

One of the most significant transactions we have recently been involved in has been the merger between Linde and Praxair. Linde’s legal team has legally accompanied the expansion of the business in Colombia and Central America, ensuring the implementation of the merger from the legal side along with compliance with the corporate policies and standards.

What will be the main focus for the company in the next 12 months and how do you intend to assist with this?

Our main focus in the next 12 months, will be to keep up the path of growth and consolidation of the business in the region, through an active competition in the markets where Linde operates.

If you had to give advice to an aspiring in-house lawyer or general counsel, what would it be and why?

My advice would be knowing the business that this new lawyer is entering to. Only then, they will be able to provide effective and concrete legal responses from a legal perspective that would, in the long run, ensure the profitability of the business and sustainability over time.
