What will be the main focus for the company in the next 12 months, and how do you intend to assist with this?

As part of the Latam legal team, and the Mexican Legal team, I intend to assist the company by providing top-notch business and customer-oriented legal advice.

The tech world is constantly evolving, but legal frameworks tend to be more rigid. Thus, as a tech attorney, I will need to grow with the business and find new ways in which our legal systems may also evolve. My goal is to ensure that citizens receive the benefits of continuous technological and economic development.

If you had to give advice to an aspiring in-house lawyer or general counsel, what would it be and why?

Quoting Kung Fu Panda ‘Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present’. Use your time wisely. As a lawyer, you are forever a student. You will never stop learning.

Embrace curiosity and exploration to try to understand better this complex world. Grow through experience and understand that great legal thinking does not come overnight. Time and experiences, but also challenges, will provide you with the most valuable tools. Finally, remember that being efficient in this highly competitive world is essential, but it is also important to enjoy your ride.
