Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

As I am responsible for structure finance and capital market transactions within the infrastructure, energy, and legal team of IDB Invest, I have been responsible for the development of multiple innovative capital market mobilisation products for infrastructure and corporate transactions, in particular, B Bonds and Project Bonds.

Furthermore, during the last year, I actively participated in developing IDB Invest’s new business model that will seek to scale the organisation’s impact by mobilising more private investment towards areas that represent a meaningful contribution to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in each of its member countries.

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?

IDB Invest is actively developing a diversity and inclusion strategy for our panel firms and for local counsel. This policy will aim to encourage the NY and local counsel to include a diverse team of lawyers when submitting proposals to advise IDB Invest in its transactions.
