Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?
Our team carried out an innovation in relation to the retention and organisation of documents and archives so that any document can be consulted from the cloud and mobile devices from anywhere. We hired an archivist to carry out this operation.
How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
From our department we have promoted affirmative actions, with the hiring of people from excluded groups within our recruitment processes. Once they are working with us, we have made changes in teleworking policies to facilitate their ability to work from their places of origin and to create a strong sense of group support for the organisation’s activities.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing effective risk management practices, and how have you overcome them?
The biggest challenge has been resistance to change in the front office. To overcome this, we have held dedicated workshops with the areas to try to highlight the beneficial impact that risk management has for the organisation, and we have extensively showcased those success stories where the company avoided losses as a result of effective risk management.
