Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?
Legal design and automatisation: When I arrived at the company, the legal team shifted their focus from time-consuming repetitive tasks to prioritising legal aspects of operations, enabling them to analyse potential risks effectively.
What steps do you take to ensure the successful integration and adoption of new technologies among your team members?
First, the legal team must have a full understanding of the legal aspects of operations, in order to identify which aspects of the business couple be improved by technology.
Once we detect the companies which could provide such technological solutions, we involve the legal team to select the provider that best fits our needs, and then get acquainted with such technology. Even though this process requires a lot of extra work from the team and the adaptation process may not be easy, the long-term results facilitate the activities of the legal team.
What challenges have you encountered in implementing effective risk management practices, and how have you overcome them?
The most important challenge that I have encountered is gaining a full understanding of the aspects of operations within the business, not only from a legal standpoint. Achieving this required me to work collaboratively with all the areas in the company.
