Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

In my legal team in LATAM, in-house lawyers are working throughout the agile methodology, which allow to have focus in strategic work to prioritise and be a good business partner for different areas and key stakeholders. Likewise, we designed a specific roadmap, where the lawyers work in 5 strategic pillars: (i) growth, (ii) digital and technology (AI), (iii) governance, (iv) automatization and simplification and (v) team and culture.

Can you foresee any key developments to the way general counsel work over the next five years?

The general counsel should enface different challenges in regard to: (i) new forms and technologies of artificial intelligence (ChatGPT, BARD etc), (ii) new advertising formats (Shorts, In Feed, Bumpers, Stream (in/out), Master heads, among others, (iii) analytics (data science) and (iv) new metrics (attention, brand, connection, direction)

What steps do you take to ensure the successful integration and adoption of new technologies among your team members?

To ensure the successful integration and adoption of new technologies among my team members, we adopt the agile methodology to work, always using different tools to automatize the repetitive and non -strategic work, also using skills of project management. Likewise, we have metrics to determine the impact into the business.

What is a cause, business-related or otherwise, you are passionate about, and why?

I am extremely passionate about data privacy, cybersecurity and technologies because they encompass different challenges for the general counsel. In my view, these matters are important to prevent risks (i.e. data breaches) from a digital perspective and advise the business through a updated and modern way.
