How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
Focus on the business needs. Understand very well the business needs, the impacts and strategy, the legal team must be an ally of the business. The legal team must be very initiative taking in searching and understanding the normativity impact for the business, anticipate issues that can negatively impact the company and influence in the decision making of normativity where it is possible.
In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently?
It is not a secret that our country is going through a very convulsed political and economic situation. The health system is being tested and any decision related to how the system is going to work impacts very strongly our company. It does not seem that we can reach a prompt solution that can satisfy all the stakeholders involved. But we have to actively participate in the construction of those possible solutions.
