How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?  

In times of instability or crisis, legal management must focus all its capabilities on avoiding, preventing or mitigating any situation with the potential to cause great damage to the business. The reasons for the alert must be understood and monitored permanently, with tools, technologies and a team of experts, to make the most appropriate decisions and implement the management plan to overcome the crisis. On the other hand, the best way to align the legal strategy and the commercial strategy is to change the mindset and understand the business in depth, to become enablers of resilience or new opportunities.  

What are the main cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?  

In general terms, many topics are worked on in the legal area of a company. We have been working on legal issues of new digital technologies, necessary to enable business transformation and adapt to new realities. We have also been working on M&A operations and some arbitration tribunals. 

What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?  

Adding to the discussion about legal technology, I believe that artificial intelligence combined with big data will mark a before and after in legal matters.
