Rosalía Roman-Urcuyo is chief counsel of non-sovereign operations, legal affairs at the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), leading the division within the legal department that supports the private sector and non-sovereign guaranteed financings made by the bank in Latin America and the Caribbean (circa 20 member countries), including project finance (energy and infrastructure projects), corporate finance, equity investments and financial markets transactions. Rosalía is also a member of the board of directors of CAF-Asset Management Corporation.
Before joining the Development Bank of Latin America CAF, Rosalia was a senior associate at Clifford Chance’s Washington D.C. office and was a member of its Banking and Finance Group. Rosalia is admitted to practice in the State of New York, Washington D.C. and the Republic of Costa Rica. Rosalia is a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of Costa Rica School of Law.
