The 14-person legal function of Eficacia, a Colombian business process outsourcing provider and the sixth largest employer in the country, is tasked with designing and structuring all internal legal processes and providing consultancy services to various clients of the company. Led by the astute Carlos Hernán Paz Mosquera, a corporate legal professional with 15 years of experience in national and multinational companies, the legal function has undergone a remodelling to meet globally recognised ISO 9001 quality management standards and is now certified by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC). Accompanied by the introduction of performance indicators and key metrics, changes were set in motion to improve efficiency and value-add. As a result, the team has demonstrated consistent excellence and swift response times in servicing Eficacia’s multitude of reputable corporate clients, which include Coca-Cola, Nutresa, Telefonica, Reckitt Benckiser, Terpel and many others. Praised for its strong expertise in corporate law, commercial litigation and M&A, the unit features a number of prominent professionals besides its leader, including senior lawyer Juan David Prieto Mejía and lawyers Carlos Bedoya and Juan Camilo Valencia Monedero.
