Operadora Aeroportuaria Internacional (OPAIN), a consortium composed of Colombian construction and engineering firms and the Swiss company Flughafen Zürich AG, is in charge of managing, modernising, expanding, operating and marketing the El Dorado International Airport, which is today one of the most important infrastructure operations in Colombia. The legal department, which features exceptional lawyers, such as Luisa Maria Florez Giraldo and Carlos Duarte Estrada, is kept busy by the vast array of legal and operational challenges faced by the company on a daily basis. The team is responsible for supporting the business on all trade issues, as well as for drafting contracts and managing commercial legal relationships with all space holders in the international terminal. Well integrated with the company’s commercial affairs, the team also supports the general secretariat in all corporate aspects, such as managing shareholder books, certifications, share transactions and provides legal support to shareholders of the company.
