Anders Kjærsgaard Dybro
Senior vice president and group general counsel | GN Store Nord
What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
In 2023, the group legal team played a key role in the successful execution of GN Store Nord’s multibillion capital plan, which inter alia involved an offering of new shares to the market, renegotiation across the company’s loan agreements, divestment of relevant non-core business activities and a sale-and-lease back of the company’s HQ.
What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?
Being a successful in-house lawyer in the industries relevant to GN Store Nord requires a passion for innovation and good commercial and technical understanding, in addition to a global mindset as the legal team operates across a wide range of geographies and cultures. We are lucky to have a great legal team with lawyers who, at an individual level, possess these qualities.
How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?
The collaboration between the legal team and our business counterparts in GN Store Nord is inherently fostered by our highly-skilled individual lawyers and administrative staff who are generally recruited based on a genuine interest in technology, innovation and strong people skills besides their legal merits. This, in combination with a legal business partner org structure, has secured a very close cooperation between lawyers and business stakeholders.
Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?
I am particularly passionate about innovation and bringing new solutions to market and consider our world’s first technical product introductions clear highlights to have participated in during my career. Diversity at its broadest scale is also something I am very passionate about, and in particular educational and workplace access for people with neurodiversity.
