What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Implementing social responsibility reporting (CSRD), AI governance and tools including preparing for the AI Act, and the development of our digital infrastructure and governance including preparing for DORA.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

Legal counsel shall be able to create the foundation for sound decision making and execution of business strategies and ensure strategic projects and business development initiatives are executed in line with the overall business strategy. The work requires an understanding of the legal and economic fields combined with strategic negotiation and communication skills, all of which is used to solve and simplify complex issues and highlight the legal and commercial risks to be exploited or encapsulated.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

We have for several years focused on stakeholder management and our strategic advice to directors and C-level, why we give legal advice to all fifteen business units across PFA and we are involved in strategic project initiated by our business counterparts, both product developments and customer initiatives as well as digital infrastructure programs and supplier due diligence.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

Personally, I am passionate about how people collaborate and create together, and I believe the best solutions are found in the space between rewards, risks and resources. I prefer to promote strong and loyal relationships in my team as well with our business counterparts, and I always strive to create robust and integrative solutions.
