What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
We have been involved in the acquisitions of the following companies over the past five years: Visible, Performance Team, Vandergrift, KGH, LF Logistics, and many more. Additionally, we have been involved in the demerger and listing of Svitzer.
What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?
I believe it is most important to possess strong business acumen to succeed as an in-house lawyer in our industry.
How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?
Over the past five-plus years, we have strengthened our local footprint and set up business partners in HQ to better support the business as Maersk transforms itself from a pure-play ocean container company to an integrated logistics company.
Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?
We have embarked on a transformational journey of the legal department, developing legal operations, as well as supporting our team members’ development. As part of this, we have separate workstreams on DEI and Career Development, both of which I am very passionate about.
