What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

One of the more significant transactions is the current development of a large-scale solar project in Poland. Our team plays a critical role in drafting and negotiating complex contracts, securing necessary permits and approvals, and ensuring compliance with Polish renewable energy regulations. A successful completion of this project will not only contribute to a significant expansion of the renewable energy capacity in Poland but will also showcase our legal team’s expertise in navigating the intricacies of large-scale solar developments outside Denmark.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

Industry knowledge and a deep understanding of the relevant business model, combined with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams, are essential qualities for in-house lawyers. By combining these elements, in-house lawyers can play a proactive and strategic role in driving the success of a company while ensuring appropriate legal compliance and risk management. This integrated approach fosters synergy between legal and business objectives, ultimately contributing to the sustainable growth of the company.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

Generally, we prioritise open communication channels and regular meetings to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and legal considerations. Moreover, we actively participate in cross-functional project teams, providing proactive legal guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
