What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

As an in-house lawyer it is essential to be commercial driven with a solid legal foundation, to enable a company to navigate commercial and legal risk and opportunities while supporting the company in achieving its strategic objectives.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

Our in-house commercial and legal services team is committed to act as value creators by delivering commercially relevant, experienced, and customised services in a timely manner. We do this through motivation and empowerment of colleagues in the organisation, analysis of opportunity and innovation in systems and processes, while harnessing extensive legal and business competency.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I am business bias, but passionate about ensuring risk and opportunities are carefully considered from a legal perspective. Further, development, motivation and empowerment of my team makes leadership rewarding.
