Ana María Estrada Báez is the legal and compliance director of the Bolsa y Mercados de Valores de la República Dominicana, a Dominican securities market infrastructure company, whose mission is based on leading the sustainable development of the Dominican securities market, facilitating transactionality and promoting international best practices. 

Ana María leads a team of professionals, overseeing the legal and regulatory facets of the company, focusing on developing the business in an open and transparent manner and with clear rules, ensuring compliance with regulations in order to guarantee the development of the securities market. Ana María believes in building strong connections with all clients in the market, developing strategies to understand their needs and delivering timely solutions and favourable conditions.  

Ana María is a member of the regulatory committee of AMERCA, an organisation that brings together the Central American and Caribbean Stock Exchanges. She has held positions in the legal area of a banking institution and has been a member of the Board of Directors of an insurance company.
