How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
During periods of crisis or instability, legal management cannot be affected; this is when continuous, effective and precise management is most needed. The legal strategy must adapt to the situation the organisation is going through, it must converge with the commercial strategy, always taking care of the organisation and keeping it free of all types of risks.
What are the main cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
As part of the legal team that is specifically in charge of corporate governance aspects within a financial institution, I have had to work on various cases of importance to the institution, but due to my obligation of confidentiality, I cannot reveal specific details about these.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
I believe that artificial intelligence can definitely contribute to the analysis of large amounts of legal data, helping lawyers identify precedents in jurisprudence and drafting reports, contracts, minutes, among other legal documents. This saves time, resources and reduces errors.
In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently?
In my opinion, legal certainty encourages local and foreign investment, encouraging the development of new businesses, the creation of new sources of employment, among others.
