Which recent political, economic or regulatory changes have impacted your work the most in recent years?
There are several developments I can think of that have impacted my work lately. Forex controls on the continent have tightened in many markets; AML laws have started being implemented in the iGaming space in many African markets, requiring stakeholder engagement and customer sensitization; and finally, data privacy laws are evolving quickly across the continent, with increased complexity of compliance needs per market.
Are there any causes, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about?
I am interested in behavioral economics; how market players can do more with less, and how human psychology can be used to power how companies deliver value to their customers. Psychology can be used to delight our customers with new and imaginative UI and UX and customer service that is predictive and helpful. This same thinking works well in understanding employee engagement, productivity and retention.
