How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

First of all understanding the scenario, we must understand that some crisis moments are also opportunity moments, then we need to identify the good aspects in all, a crisis can be an opportunity; second we have to work harder to succeed, a crisis is a challenge and we need to win the challenge that we face in the live, third always remind the personal and corporate values, we need to look for options but never forget the north, sometimes in crisis moments people despair and start taking wrong or illegal decisions then we have to keep faith and have a north, that means work harder have faith in what we do and after storm obtain the good results.

Be open doors, hear the people, be patient, be near the staff, be hard worker, deliver result on time and quality then if directors and staff trust in you as counselor you can save time and problems because instead claims or demands they will come to try to solve the problem by talking.

What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?

The most important attribute is remind that however we are lawyers we work for a company and then we need to learn all the areas and the business, as counselor of companies we are part of the business, we are also business guys and then to sell need to understand not only the laws but also the business, environment, politics and negotiation skills.

Based on your experiences in the past year, are there any trends in the legal or business world that you are keeping an eye on that you think other in-house lawyers should be mindful of?

I think all of us need to keep an eye on in AI and cybersecurity, next years this topic is going to increase in prominence a lot, so we need to understand and follow what is happening.
