What are the projects that you are most proud of working on over the past 12 months?

In the last few months, I have been in charge of three entirely different areas: Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, and Personal Data Protection. It has been a process requiring much sacrifice and dedication in order to give my best effort and focus on these areas.

This change goes hand in hand with setting aside time for training, self-evaluations, and making decisions regarding the efficient use of time. Another important factor is supporting the people I am responsible for, always empowering them to grow and continue researching.

Last but not least, all these growth decisions are driven by my desire to be someone my son can be proud of—to be a professional example and to provide him with a role model.

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

One of the most relevant factors is the ability to work closely with all departments, which enhances controls and generates greater stability and a comprehensive view of the organisation’s activities.

Another key aspect is legal compliance: ensuring that the organisation remains fully compliant with all relevant laws and regulations during a crisis. This may involve working closely with regulators and legal counsel.

Additionally, documenting actions is essential. Keeping detailed records of all measures taken during a crisis is crucial for defending against potential legal claims and for post-crisis analysis.

What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I am passionate about mental health awareness and support. Mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, yet it often does not receive the attention it deserves. Promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and providing access to mental health resources can make a significant difference in people’s lives.

In the business context, this can involve:

Employee Assistance Programmes: Offering confidential counselling and support services to employees.

Mental Health Training: Providing training for managers and employees to recognise and respond to mental health issues.

Creating a Supportive Environment: Fostering a workplace culture that prioritises mental well-being and encourages open conversations about mental health.
