Focus on: My career

Santiago González Pérez has been leading the EMEA Employment Law team at American Express since November 2021, while his primary focus is on the EMEA region, Santiago occasionally also provides support for other regions. Prior to joining American Express in November 2021, Santiago has spent ten years at Accenture. For the first five years, Santiago served as the Employment Law Lead for Spain, Portugal, Africa, and Israel. Following that, Santiago became a member of a dedicated employment law team established to support the company in its growing M&A activity and in handling client agreements involving personnel implications, such as outsourcing, and so on. During this period, Santiago was responsible for covering the employment law analysis of several M&A projects across Latin America. Santiago provided support for various acquisitions based in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and other countries, which allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the employment-related issues in the region. Before his time at Accenture, Santiago started his career at Sagardoy Abogados, a leading Spanish law firm on Employment Law where he spent a decade.
