LATAM countries your role covers: Mexico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Peru and Chile

What strategies do you employ to ensure your legal advice is effectively aligned with the unique regulatory environments and cultural nuances of different LATAM countries?

Our strategy is clear: we aim to export our Governance Policy to all the countries where we operate to ensure adequate regulatory compliance, which includes our Conduct, Anti-Bribery, and Workplace Harassment Prevention Codes. We are continually advised by local law firms in each country to ensure that we carry out this task effectively and adapt the policies to meet local requirements and legislation.

What are your organisations plans in the LATAM region over the next 12 months and how will your legal expertise help to achieve these plans?

Our strategy remains unchanged and continues along the same path we have followed for the past 6-7 years, focusing on inorganic growth by leveraging the current global market conditions. We aim to enhance our operational growth through business models that do not require capital expenditure, particularly in the areas of distribution, maintenance, and training. Additionally, we are committed to embracing sustainability and promoting the circular economy by exporting our best practices to the countries where we operate in Latin America, which are among our primary objectives.

What specific challenges have you encountered when managing legal issues related to Latin American markets from a European perspective, and how has your team addressed these challenges?

Knowing and understanding the local legislation as thoroughly as possible is essential, particularly in the most important and relevant aspects. This includes being familiar with deadlines and court procedural formats for both criminal and commercial disputes. Additionally, adapting to the local culture is crucial, and we embrace a continuous learning approach to ensure we remain informed and responsive.
