Could you please share the most significant cases or transactions in the LATAM region that you or your legal team have recently been involved in?

As part of the acquisition of the Axess Group carried out in 2022, between 2023 and 2024 we have conducted the reorganisation of certain affiliates in LATAM to create synergies and eliminate duplicities in those jurisdictions in which we already had presence, for instance Mexico, Peru and Colombia.

What strategies do you employ to ensure your legal advice is effectively aligned with the unique regulatory environments and cultural nuances of different LATAM countries?

In most of the LATAM countries in which we have presence we combine local in-house lawyers with external law firms assisting us, which ensures that we comply with the regulatory environment, and that we take into consideration the cultural local nuances.

What are your organisations plans in the LATAM region over the next 12 months and how will your legal expertise help to achieve these plans?

We try to act as a single legal department in all the jurisdictions in which we have presence.

What specific challenges have you encountered when managing legal issues related to Latin American markets from a European perspective, and how has your team addressed these challenges?

The main challenge is to fully understand and to have a clear idea of the legal implications in each jurisdiction, and to make local advisors understand the importance for the company from a strategic perspective. Ideally, one should have this clear understanding from the very beginning.
