CAC-listed eye care solutions provider Essilor Group is a historic French company that occupies an enviable position as a world leader in the field of ophthalmic lenses and optical equipment. It recently consolidated its position in the market through its freshly approved merger with Luxottica, resulting in a combined market capitalisation of appropriately €46bn.
Alexander Lunshof is Essilor’s group chief legal officer and is a member of the company’s executive committee, bringing years of experience attained at legal roles in France and abroad, including as deputy general counsel of Orange and chief legal officer of Orange Business Services, an international subsidiary of the French telecoms giant. Able to point to an outstanding track record in a large number of high profile organisations, Lunshof was previously vice-president of legal and regulatory at Orange UK in London, and worked in private practice before that at Coudert Brothers’ Paris, New York and Beijing offices.
Lunshof has previously been recognised in the GC Powerlist series in part due to his legal experiences that have proved crucial in combatting claims made against the Group.
