A major global air transport player, Air France-KLM is a Franco-Dutch airline holding company incorporated under French law. In February 2018, the organisation recruited the highly regarded in-house lawyer Anne-Sophie Le Lay to the position of executive vice president corporate secretary.
In this role she heads the legal department, the corporate social responsibility department and the public affairs department whilst also sitting on the Group’s executive committee. Le Lay occupies a prominent position in France’s in-house legal market having worked at the world renowned French car company Groupe Renault since 2001, serving as its group general counsel for almost seven years, immediately prior to her move to Air France-KLM. Earning significant industry recognition for her time at Renault, her first in-house employers, Le Lay had a key role on the development of the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
Before moving in-house, Le Lay enjoyed a five year private practice career working in both Paris and Toronto, Canada. In addition to her role at Air France-KLM, she is vice-president of the Montesquieu Circle, a French association of legal directors.
