With 22 years of experience at the second largest retailer in the world and the largest in Europe, Carrefour, Franck Tassan is an accomplished counsel who occupies a prominent and prestigious position in France’s in-house legal environment. Tassan has been group general counsel of the company since 2003 and, being closely integrated into its executive management, offers legal perspectives completely aligned to business goals.
In 2018 alone he has contributed effectively on Carrefour’s corporate acquisitions and agreements such as the strategic partnership with Showroomprive.com to acquire a 17% stake in the company, a partnership with La Poste to accelerate the nation-wide development of home delivery services for food and non-food shopping, the strategic partnership with Publicis.Sapient to accelerate its digital transformation and the purchase of Quitoque, a French pioneer in foodtech. Before Carrefour, Tassan spent seven years in the legal department of PSA Peugeot Citroen between 1989 and 1996.
