Mark Rollinger joined Groupe PSA – the owners of the Peugeot, Citroën and Vauxhall brands – as group chief legal officer in October 2013, and currently oversees the legal aspects of the French automobile company’s wide-ranging remit in terms of its brand portfolio and the challenges associated with being one of the largest car companies in Europe.
As the company bolsters its existing range of products as well as develops new ones with cutting-edge technology, it is heavily investing in the electric vehicles market which is predicted to be a large and incrementally growing market in the near future. Groupe PSA’s strategy has been to create a new electric vehicle-focused business sector and has the ambitious aim to ensure it offers electric models across its entire portfolio by 2025, and Rollinger will play a key part in bringing these products to market in a compliant and legally secure way.
Rollinger boasts an outstanding academic and career background, as a graduate of Yale and Harvard he began his legal career with law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton before moving in-house.
