Since joining the multinational plastic manufacturer Plastic Omnium in 2011, Odile Descamps has been in charge of the legal side of M&A transactions, accompanying the growth and dynamics of the business through many international acquisitions and joint ventures. Utilising her legal studies from French and UK institutions, as well as her extensive experience in international environments, Descamps has been able to bring her intricate industry understanding and practical approach to an ever changing environment.

Based out of Plastic Omnium’s Paris offices, Descamps is driving the company’s corporate M&A strategy and holds direct legal responsibility for Plastic Omnium’s operations in the Americas (including USA, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina). Deschamps formerly served as general counsel at Inergy Automotive Systems, a joint venture between Plastic Omnium and Solvay, where she was in charge of the legal and insurance matters of the group on a worldwide basis. Prior to that Descamps spent nearly two decades at Schlumberger working across various legal, regional and general counsel positions between 1987 and 2003, including two expatriate assignments in London and Dubai.
