Keep calm, think carefully of who should be involved internally and make sure that all the appropriate stakeholders are involved.

How do you see the general counsel role evolving in France over the next five-ten years?

The general counsel will be charged with acting as an ever-stronger support and a safeguard to the leadership team.

What technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most? Which have you found most useful in your legal team?

Artificial intelligence is going to change the way we work, in the sense that legal teams might become much more efficient but also more constricted.

Have you used AI in your day-to-day work? If so, how useful do you find it?

I currently do not use it much; I am not confident enough that the answers will be accurate, and that the data potentially shared with the AI will be protected. However, I strongly believe artificial intelligence is the future of our work, once it is possible for the confidentiality issue to be mitigated, and a reliable tool is provided that will allow us to quickly access and check the sources used by the AI.
