How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
We need to be very agile and react very quickly. We also set up a monitoring platform for all the new events or regulations that can impact the business. The legal strategy always aims to support the business and needs to always adapt to the activity or crisis. We also need to be able to do more with less (such as with people and costs) and to be very pragmatic.
Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?
Our robust and challenging CSR roadmap is really making me passionate. It has a real impact on the environnement and on the people. It also impacts the legal work with the preparation of the first CSRD which needs to comply with all mandatory requirements but still need to be a communicative document (which is not going to be an easy task this year). Both support functions (CSR and legal) are completely linked to each other and to the global strategy of the business. It also obliges the team to remain pragmatic with a very complicated regulation.
