There has been movement at the top of Bouygues, as Arnauld Van Eeckhout was appointed group general counsel in June 2018. He brings unparalleled experience to the role, given that he has been with the company since 1990. He also became secretariat of the group’s board of directors.
The team has been heavily involved in Bouygues becoming the first group to have been awarded Top Employers certification for itself and all subsidiaries – Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Immobilier, Colas, TF1 and Bouygues Telecom. This has had a major positive knock on effect on staff retention and the overall high morale that exists throughout the Group.
May 2019 saw Bouygues invest in start-up Blackfoot to the tune of 10% of the company’s share capital. Describing itself as an innovation lab specialising in the creation of technological products for major groups, this deal was supported at all stages by the legal team.
