A truly global company, Valeo’s 113,600 employees are located across 33 countries and 186 production units, fulfilling its vast, multibillion-Euro revenue automotive supply operations that are the culmination of over 90 years of operation. As part of a strategy brought into effect in the 2000’s, the company is recognised as one of the world’s leading innovators; its legal team is no exception to this, having brought into effect a number of key automations to its day-to-day work. A key innovator in the autonomous vehicle market, the Valeo legal team is extremely active in establishing the nascent regulatory environment for this revolutionary transport system. Towards this, the company signed an agreement with Mobileye to develop a new autonomous vehicle safety standards in early 2019. Group general counsel and general secretary Eric-Antoine Fredette, who has been in his position since 2015, was extremely positive of his 40-strong team‘s work: ‘The team culture is geared towards accurate, pragmatic and best in class legal advice to the Group. Our team is staffed with top-of-the-line lawyers who share the same objective of rendering high-level advice’.
