General counsel for the Germany, Austria and Switzerland areas of French food services and facilities management company Sodexo, Ingo Koehler-Bartels has successfully filled this position for the last three years. He oversees the legal and insurance operations of the company, effectively managing all of the business’ legal manoeuvres in the aforementioned region. Highly praised by peers, he is recognised for his outstanding work on large strategic projects, with one nominator stating: ‘He always proposed pragmatic solutions, and [has] drawn complex situations on the white board to understand all influences’. Prior to his current role he joined Dimension Data, an information technology company, in March 2005 as the legal and commercial manager, head of bid management. In this capacity Koehler-Bartels was responsible for all legal and commercial matters, covering sales and procurement contracts, corporation law, corporate governance, as well as the bid and proposal team. In August 2010 he was promoted to head of commercial for Dimension Data, which entailed end-to-end responsibility for the quote-to-bill process and additional responsibility for legal, bid management and others, also serving as a member of the company’s Senior Leadership Forum. Koehler-Bartels additionally had a short spell at global professional services firm Accenture as a contract manager between 2004 and 2005.
