About

Established in 2005, Germany-based software developer Open-Xchange has since emerged as a globally-present and rapidly growing provider of flexible and agile solutions to its business customers, including the only integrated, open-source stack for messaging, collaboration and office-productivity, used by over 200 million users for their business and private needs. Being at the forefront of a market sector that is inherently complex, changing and constantly innovating, the company requires counsel that is able to keep pace with all developments within this sphere. General counsel Maxim Letski, who has been in the role since September 2016, has earned a reputation for being able to provide the legal support required and act as a well-recognised facilitator between legal, technical and business needs. Letski’s day-to-day role is concerned with providing business and technology-focused legal advice to several important stakeholders including the company’s senior management team and all other departments of the Open-Xchange Group worldwide. The particular legal practice areas his advice focuses on span the areas of IT, IP, privacy, corporate and employment law. He is also involved in litigation and the drafting and negotiation of various license agreements and outsourcing contracts with international and national customers, partners and suppliers, in addition to the provision of legal training to different business departments across the company. Letski has a background in German law firms and is a contributor to the field as a lecturer in IT, IP and privacy law at The FOM University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.
