Chief officer for legal and corporate affairs | Telefónica
Valentina Daiber leads the legal team at Telefónica Germany, a telecoms company with over 25 million customers. Joining Telefónica Germany, then known Viag Interkom, in 1999, she started as an advisor in the field of regulation and since 2004 has filled various leading positions in the company. Appointed as chief officer for legal and corporate affairs and member of board of directors in August 2017, Daiber has been central to a number of significant mergers and operational projects. Namely, she is responsible for the general counsel unit, which comprises of legal, compliance, corporate security and internal audit, as well as the regulatory work of the company, its relations to the public authorities and the government offices and the department of corporate responsibilities. Daiber also leads the representative office at Telefónica Berlin. Daiber previously served as the director of corporate affairs at Telefónica Germany and was responsible for the legal department’s regulatory law, cartel law, telecommunications law and media law as well as for the work with political committees and organisations. Prior to her career at Telefónica, Daiber worked at the Institute for European Media Law in Saarbrücken as well as for the national office for private broadcasters in Ludwigshafen.
