Volker Mansfeld encompasses an extensive career at Altana, a German chemical company, created in 1977 through the spin-off of divisions of the Varta Group. Mansfeld started at Altana as a legal counsel in 2001. In 2007 he was promoted to general counsel, a role which saw him taking charge of all legal matters with projects related to producing high-quality innovative products in the realm of the chemical business. In 2013 Mansfeld worked on the acquisition of Rockwood’s clay based additives business. His participation and facilitation of this project is a testament of his contribution to the company’s expansion.
