Dagmar Maria Mundani is the general counsel of Siemens Healthineers, a DAX40 listed company. As general counsel, she heads the worldwide function legal, compliance, and ECC, within an organisation with around 450 employees worldwide (approximately 41 nationalities, active in 202 jurisdictions). After joining Siemens Healthineers in this function in 2017, she was tasked with completion of the carve out of Siemens Healthcare from Siemens AG, setting up the department on a standalone basis and preparing the IPO.
During the past few years, her main focus has been on the acquisition of Varian, a US listed company, for a purchase price of around US$16.4m, financed by debt, and two capital increases plus their subsequent integration. Before joining Siemens Healthineers, Dagmar worked in the corporate development and corporate finance department of Siemens as senior vice president, leading numerous projects including the Osram Spin Off, the acquisitions of Mentor Graphics, Dresser Rand and Invensys Rail, and the divestment of Siemens IT Solutions to Atos. Prior to that, she worked in various functions in the legal department as head of the legal finance team, and head of legal of the venture capital team. Dagmar Mundani studied law at the Universities of Augsburg, Freiburg and University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and was a teaching assistant at the University of Munich. She holds a Second State Exam of Bavaria, where she is admitted to the bar, and a First State Exam of Baden-Württemberg.
