Dr. Andreas Liepe was appointed as the group general counsel of BMW in 2019 and is responsible for legal, patents and group compliance. Previously, he held various senior positions within the legal department of the BMW Group in Germany and China. Before joining the company in 2005, Dr. Liepe worked in a major international law firm in the field of corporate and M&A. He studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, received his doctorate from the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena and an LLM at the University of Texas at Austin.
