After starting his career as an M&A Lawyer, Dr. Fehlemann joined E.ON before moving to Uniper when it split off from E.ON in January 2016. At Uniper, he built up a new corporate legal team responsible for listing the company on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and setting up all relevant legal processes for a listed stock corporation. Consecutively, he also took over the role of head of the corporate office. In his function as senior vice president, Dr. Fehlemann advised the Management Board of Uniper on the hostile takeover offer by Fortum in 2017/2018. During 2022 he was at the forefront of the highly complex negotiations with the German Government that finally led to the stabilization of Uniper and its nationalization. In addition, the team of Dr. Fehlemann is responsible for providing best-in-class legal support to the fast-growing renewables business of Uniper. The proximity to the business is what makes the real difference for him in his current role.
