How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
We have made significant investments in AI tools and Legal Tech over the past 5-8 years, and these investments are now paying off. In particular, during times of distressed markets, we have powerful AI tools at our disposal to manage and centralise our team’s approaches and to efficiently drive solution-finding. Legal is just one of the decisive elements within this strategy, seamlessly integrating into the broader global strategic plans alongside finance, R&D, and general business measures.
What are the main cases or transactions that you have been involved in recently?
While party names do remain confidential we have worked on around 100 >EUR 500 EV transactions over the last two years, including headline transactions where we lined up with the major law firms and investments banks globally.
How do you measure the impact of ESG initiatives on the company’s overall performance and reputation?
ESG has been a key development area since 2017, and we have now implemented various tools across the globe. We are actually winning business because of these initiatives. Our reputation is largely built on the fact that we consistently deliver on our ESG commitments.
How have you integrated technology into your legal processes, and what impact has this had on efficiency and compliance?
As mentioned above, this is a major GWP driver and part of our global strategy moving forward. We have integrated not only legal tech tools but also AI-driven technologies, which have been used to further develop tools that assist us, particularly with EBITDA forecasts and R&D.
