Marion Schuster-Opitsch is the General Counsel of Siltronic AG, one of the world’s leading producers of hyperpure silicon wafers for the semiconductor industry. Siltronic AG’s shares are listed on both the MDAX and TecDAX indices. Marion heads the global legal and compliance functions. She acts as a strategic advisor to the Executive Board on legal questions and is the go-to person for the Executive Board and Supervisory Board on all legal matters.

Marion’s key approach in her role as General Counsel is managing legal aspects through proactive risk assessment, clear communication, and strategic alignment with the broader business objectives to ensure organizational resilience. By integrating legal considerations into strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency, she supports business continuity and long-term success.

Highlights of her career at Siltronic include securing substantial financing through various financial instruments and the negotiation of brownfield and greenfield investments in Singapore and Germany.

Prior to joining Siltronic, she gained extensive professional experience as associate at Latham & Watkins advising clients in complex M&A and PE transactions. Marion is licensed to practice law in Germany and California.
