Biography

Nicolas joined McKinsey in 2020 after two years in private practice as an attorney, where he advised district administrations, cities, and local municipalities on the preparation, launch, and execution of public tenders for large-scale construction projects in compliance with public procurement laws.
As an in-house lawyer, Nicolas primarily focuses on public sector work at federal level in the DACH region, including ministries, federal agencies, and state-linked entities. In his role he provides legal advice to McKinsey consultants in navigating public tender procedures and internal processes. He also handles the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of a variety of contracts, as well as various legal queries throughout the lifecycle of contracts.
Furthermore, Nicolas offers legal support in bid protest, conducts public procurement compliance trainings for McKinsey consultants working in the public sector, and advises on new legislations that may impact local offices.
