Ama is a lawyer with twelve years experience in practice. She is currently the Senior Legal Counsel & Company secretary for Unilever Ghana, in a position she has occupied for eight years now. Her role generally encompasses Legal Advisory, legal compliance and Company secretarial duties.

Prior to joining Unilever, she worked with Law and Development Associates/Atuguba and Associates as an Associate and her roles over the period included  providing legal advisory services, planning and execution of projects.

Her strong competencies include advice on major transformational and corporate restructuring  transactions, employment, corporate governance and regulatory matters. She has been part of a team that has been      successful in executing all legal and regulatory requirements with respect to the business ‘’tea and spreads’’ sale transaction.

She is a strong advocate of equity and empowering  her team and the young generation.  To upskill her team and develop the mindset, skills and capability for a rapidly changing business environment,  she has  attained a certificate from the established Institute of Leadership and Management (UK), under the Edge Leadership program.

She possesses an L.L.B. Degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, an EMBA in Finance from the University of Ghana business school , a certified Data Protection Supervisor from the Ghana Data  Protection Commission and  is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
