Anita is a highly accomplished dual-qualified lawyer (Ghana and Oklahoma) with over 13 years of extensive experience in Ghana, specializing in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and financial services. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, graduating with honors, before obtaining a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Oklahoma and a Qualifying Certificate from the General Legal Council of Ghana. Additionally, she holds an LLM in Financial Markets Regulation from the University of Ghana. Anita began her career at a top-tier private law firm in Ghana, where she quickly established herself as an expert in corporate law and commercial transactions, advising multinational corporations and development finance institutions on financing projects and regulatory compliance. Currently, she serves as a senior legal counsel at the Bank of Ghana, where she plays a key role in shaping regulatory frameworks, drafting and reviewing regulations, advising on compliance issues, and representing the institution on regional committees. Her expertise spans corporate law, regulatory compliance, and international law, making her a valuable asset in navigating complex legal landscapes. Beyond her professional achievements, Anita is passionate about mentoring young people and volunteers with a Teens Ministry, where she helps teens deepen their faith and develop leadership skills. She has also co-authored a devotional aimed at fostering a closer relationship with God among teenagers.
