Bonsrah is a business lawyer with extensive experience advising African businesses across various industries – technology, finance, agribusiness, oil and gas, and mining industries. His practice currently focuses on technology transactions & AI governance, commodities trade, commercial transactions, and impact investing.
He is an advocate for Legal+ roles and believes in GCs maximising their impact within organisations by being strategic partners and business leaders first, before lawyers second.
He is currently Legal Counsel for Kwame AI , a tech startup leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline legal research for lawyers and law students and to democratise STEM education for High School students. He advises the company’s senior management on corporate strategy, legal risk management, AI ethics, market intelligence, and regulatory compliance. He is also a certified Data Protection Supervisor overseeing privacy and data protection compliance. He previously headed the legal and compliance department for Farmerline Group, a series A AgTech company engaged in local and cross-border commodities trade, input dealing, and software deployment for impact across 8 African countries.
Bonsrah is an alum of the University of Cambridge where he studied under the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship awarded by the UK Government. He is also the co-founder and Vice President of Lex Evolve, a non-profit assisting law students to navigate their academic journeys and prepare for the future of work.
